Before you can create your Fan Page for your law office, you’ll need to choose the category that your business falls under. For example, an attorneys office would be categorized as a “Local Business or Place” whereas a brand such as Dell Computers would be categorized as a “Brand or Product.”
Once you’ve found your category, click on it and fill out your company details.
Step #2 – Sign up for a Facebook business account
Once you fill out your information, you’ll be taken to Facebook’s business sign-up page.
If you already have a personal Facebook account, you can use your personal account email address to sign up for a business page, which allows you to skip Step 3.
However, if you’re new to Facebook or if you want to use a different email address than your personal account, you’ll need to sign up for a business account with an alternate email address. Once you are on the business sign-up page, enter your information.
Step #3 – Confirm your Email Address
Before proceeding, you’ll need to confirm your email address if you’re a new user or if you’re using a different email address than your personal account.
Be certain to choose your business email address or an email address you have easy access to.
Step #4 – Add your Information

In addition, be sure to use a high-quality photo that provides an accurate image of your business.
Step 5- Add a Payment Method (Optional)
Once you’ve added your company description, you’ll have the option to add a payment method. Payments are used to promote and raise awareness about your LAW OFFICE via advertisements. Costs are typically determined by how many clicks your advertisements receive.
Let’s say you’re the owner of a law office in New York, NY and you want to run an ad in the Winter time mentioning your legal services to people that may be staring a new business. Here are some of the targeting options you may want to consider:
- Timing: The month of January
- Age: 20-25
- Location: Chicago
- Targeting: Recent college graduate
- Category: Business licenses (Facebook users that have mentioned getting a business license on their page)
As you can see, you can get very targeted with which users you want to reach. Nonetheless, if you do decide to try out an advertisement, Facebook accepts all major credit cards, PayPal, or direct debit.
